Enclosed I send you the proof in support of my claim to a pension under the Act of Congress passed the 21st of July AD 1848, granting half pay to widdows and orphants in certain cases &c [~~~~illeg. line or lines in a fold~~~~] thing, to establish my claim, you will please refer to the papers (now on file in your office) in support of my claim to bounty land under the act of 11 of Feb 1847 and also to Now Wm. W. [Co...?] of Alabama " you will please inform me of the arrival of these papers by addressing me at Annawaika De Kalb Co. Ala Care of Mr George C. White.

Difficult to read, with ink blots bleeding through from other side. I really can't read the applicant's given name at all, but since it is enclosed within other papers with Jane Cooper as the applicant, it is apparently Jane's letter.
