Billy Eugene Wilson, born in Lewis County, Tennessee, lived in Michigan, and moved to Georgia.
Billy Eugene Wilson was born 17 January 1932 in Hohenwald, Lewis, Tennessee, to parents, Grove Cleveland and Emma (Staggs) Wilson. He moved to Michigan at age twelve. There, he applied for his Social Security card. At the age of 18 (about 1920), he joined the U.S. Air Force. (His last enlistment was on 10 Sep 1970). He was career military, retiring from the Air Force on 30 September 1972. His rank was MSGT. After retiring, he and his family moved to Riverdale, Clayton County, Georgia. He took a post as letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office, retiring from East Point Post Office in 1993. He died in Riverdale, Clayton, Georgia, on December 8, 2002. His remains were cremated, with plans for later burial in the Veterans Cemetery in Cherokee County, Georgia. He was survived by his wife, Della Iona (Olson) Wilson, several children, a brother and two sisters, nieces, and nephews.
