Born: April 1880, Georgia. Lived in Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia. Later moved to Davenport, Scott County, Iowa (possibly died there).

Prior Marriage: Georgia, County Marriages, 1785-1950: Gertie Coyle, female, listed in marriage to John L. Pritchett. Marriage: 31 Jan 1900, Whitfield, Georgia, US.

Research Notes: Gertrude Coyle was from Dalton, Whitfield, Georgia. She was a sister of William Farrar Coyle. Her parents were Simeon Marcus Coyle and Oris Josephine Johnson. Gertrude's first husband, John L. 'Jack' Pritchett (1866- 1908), worked as a foreman for Cherokee Manufacturing Co. He was a member of several lodges (Odd Fellows, Knights of Pythias, and Woodmen of the World) and of the First Methodist Church of Dalton. He is buried at West Hill Cemetery in Dalton (Find A Grave 50906860). So far, his parents have not been identified.
