July 1870: Administrator's Sale (Cartersville, Bartow, Georgia): to be sold before the courthouse door first Tuesday of September next (etc.) next. Details: M. L. Pritchett, administrator of the Bennett Conyers estate, places this  classified ad announcing the sale of a plantation known as the "Bennett Conyers' Place, three miles Southwest of Cartersville, and bounded by the Etowah river, and otherwise by the lands of Lewis Tumlin, Dr. Robert M. Young, and others, containing One Thousand Acres, more or less, 600 acres of which is in a high state of cultivation, and of the best quality of Corn, Wheat and Cotton land; there are about Two Hundred acres of First Quality River Bottom Land, the balance what is known as Table Land, and, by many, regarded as the best land in this section of the country." It consists of the excellent land, orchard (peach and apple), dwelling houses, cabins, etcetera; ad includes terms of sale. This property sells by authority of the testator's will (will of Bennett H. Conyers, deceased). "Terms;--one half Cash, balance payable in two equal annual payments of one and two years; bond given for titles, and when all the purchase money is paid, deed will be made.--" (Contact person: "C. [Quote]: "On the first Tuesday of November next, will be sold before the courthouse door in Cartersville, within the usual hours of sale, the following real estate, to-wit: 
      "Lots of Land Nos. 596 and 668, in the 4th District and 3rd Section of Bartow county, containing forty acres each; the latter lot has cleared on it and in cultivation six acres, all the balance in the woods. The two lots are detached with each other. Both lie near Cartersville and on the Douthitt's Ferry Road. 596 Joins the lands of Dr. W. W. Leak, John Leak and Col. Lewis Tumlin. Sold as the property of Mr. Bennett H. Conyers, deceased, and for the benefit of his heirs and creditors. Terms, half cash and half on a credit of six months, with note and interest from date. 
    "Also, at same time and place, as part of the same estate and on same conditions as above stated, "Lot of Land Nos. 254, in the 4th District and 3rd Section, containing forty acres. 
      "September 13th, 1870.
