| Dove (Pritchett) Carter in Cotton Field |
Mary Lizzie Dove (Pritchett) Carter, my great-aunt, lived in Chatsworth, Murray, Georgia. She took a trip to Oklahoma to see her Murray - Petty relatives out there, and I think this picture was taken during that trip. I remember hearing Aunt Dove tell about when she was young and had to pick cotton. She could pick eighty pounds a day... awfully hard work! I love this picture ~ I think it's my favorite picture of her.
This is my great aunt Dove. She was the sweetest women I know. I love her and miss her so much. I have a lot of great memories of her
