Obituary: Dr. Joseph Thomas Kirkpatrick

"With Masonic Honors"
"Is Dr. J.T. Kirkpatrick Consigned to the Grave."
   "All Dalton, Tunnel Hill and Whitfield County was shocked and pained beyond expression last Saturday to learn of the sudden death of Dr. J.T. Kirkpatrick of Tunnel Hill.
   "While he has been more or less ill with heart trouble for the past six months his death was not expected. He got up last Saturday and ate a light luncheon; as he was about to retire, he nearly fell on his bed and expired almost at once."
   "Dr. Kirkpatrick was one of the leading physicians of this county and a prominent christian gentleman and citizen. He was a member of the Tunnel Hill lodge of Masons, and none stood higher than he. He was buried Monday afternoon from the Presbyterian Church at that place."

   "Dr. Kirkpatrick, leaves a widow, a son, Mr. Chas. Kirkpatrick, and a daughter, Miss Lena, who with hundreds of others will deeply and sincerely mourn his loss. He was fifty-five years of age and has practiced his profession in this county for the past thirty years." [...]
