Elisha Bryant: one Confederate, One Union (probably two different individuals, unless a conscript who deserted)

Links to two records for (apparently) two different persons named Elisha Bryant (one Confederate, one Union). These records probably relate to two different individuals, unless it is the case of a conscript who deserted and joined the other side, which did happen with many East Tennessee and North Georgia Rebels.

"United States Civil War Soldiers Index, 1861-1865," database, FamilySearch ( : 4 December 2014), Elisha Bryant, Private, Company C, 43rd Regiment, Georgia Infantry, Confederate; citing NARA microfilm publication M226 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 8; FHL microfilm 821,707.
Elisha Bryant, Company G, 3rd Tennessee Cavalry, USA, Civil War: "United States General Index to Pension Files, 1861-1934", database with images, FamilySearch ( : 3 April 2015), Elisha Bryant, 1890.
