This
Indenture made the twenty sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifty one between James Morris of the County of Murray of the one part and Jacob Hedrick
of the County & state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said
James Morris for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him
in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained sold aliened
consigned and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien
convey and confirm unto the said Jacob Hedrick his heirs and assigns all that
tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the tenth district of the
third section of originally cherokee now Murray County in said state which said
tract or lot of land is known and distinguished in the original plan of said
district, by the number eighty seven (87) containing one hundred and sixty
acres more or less having such shape form and marks as appear from the plat and
Grant for the same. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land with all
and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the
said bargained premises being belonging or in anywise appertaining with the
remainder or remainders revission or revissions rents issues and profits
thereof to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Jacob Hedrick
his heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee simple And the said James
Morris for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained
lot of land and premises against the said James Morris his heirs executors and
administrators and all and any other person or persons shall & will warrant
& forever defend by virtue of these presents In Witness whereof the said James Morris has
hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day & year first above
written.
